Sure. Because how could they possibly comply if they are also shutting down embassies and consulates worldwide? Meanwhile, families separated by war or other disasters, face longer separations and extended uncertainty in refugee camps in countries they cannot lawfully reside. This is malicious.

Stop being civil in the middle of a coup. Stop giving legitimacy to the usurpers. Stop accepting that voters voted for this - that is BS. People were either manipulated or votes were artificially manipulated. The Constitution is being shredded. The courts are being defied. This is a CRISIS.

They’re not. This is not benign. Minorities are well aware of that, I am sure. They have suffered the most.

Prosecutors and government officials attempting to enforce the law are excoriated. If you’re afraid right now, I think that is entirely appropriate. None of this is new.

I have studied country conditions of many countries, where a “popular” leader is elected in the face of overwhelming opposition. Where voters’ votes are discounted. Where winning or losing the election is met with violence against the members of the losing OR winning party.

The deadlines to apply for initial Temporary Protected Status for Ukrainians and Venezuelans on the USCIS pages disappeared. I had to pull the Federal Register to confirm the dates are still valid. It’s not subtle.

If everyone was more afraid of the consequences of cooperation with a despot than their personal survival, Trump and his henchmen would be immediately be impotent. They can only truly operate if everyone falls in line. Then it’s just a madman running around yelling at people.
