Computers are still a skill. It's just that they become mainstream to more population for different purposes, but they are still a skill to a minority of people who know how to do productive things on them. It's more like computers became more flexible and appealing to the mass market.

Yes, businesses need to own their audience. It's ok to use paid channels to draw eyeballs, but it's each business' responsibility to create and maintain direct channels towards their customers.

Price increases for the games, wages, other expenses put pressure on it. Over time it accumulates and affects the bottom line. They were up for swallowing the cost for a while I guess because they wanted to grab market share. But without profitability it can't continue.

By moving you basically replace the cost of living with the cost of transportation. But the high cost of living crisis isn't going away, and it has ripple effect throughout the economy.

Less spending on other things, declining small business sectors, less wealth for the middle class, etc.
