Clair Obscur might be the perfect example of videogame 'Oscar Bait'. Glossy and professionally produced, mostly realistic aesthetics, a familiar genre with a little twist, a Meaningful And Emotional story, and safely within the social mores of western pop culture. No asian 'weirdness' here!

Now that i've relocated and all I'll have for a long time is a mini PC, I've started to appreciate old games in my backlog (I'll get to Lost Odyssey one day).
Even rediscovering stuff that I had forgotten about in my gog and itch accounts has been super fun.
