Audience question: how do you talk to people who e.g. believe everything they see on GB News? EC: networks of literacy are important. Who in your life can you talk to about where they get their information? Not everyone will change their minds but maintaining communication is important #lilac25

Three MILA trustees at #LILAC25, the Librarians Information Literacy Annual Conference in Cardiff: Elinor Carmi, Stéphane Goldstein and Jane Secker. Elinor and Jane delivered two of the keynote addresses, so MILA is definitely on the map!

Stephen Thornton talking about research conducted into impact on an essay mark by citing certain material. For every textbook citation, the politics student got an extra half mark (0.583). For every journal article they got nearly 1 whole extra mark (0.977) #lilac25

A National Park Service web page about the Underground Railroad appeared to have been restored on Monday to prominently show the abolitionist leader Harriet Tubman, after it had been changed in recent months to remove a large photo and quotes from her.
