WTF? Qatar is NOT part of NATO which has NO INDEPENDENT bases on our soil. So, EXPLAIN to me like I'm a 6yo YTF we're letting Qatar open up a military base on US soil? Will anyone assigned to that base have diplomatic privileges? Is Dumpy planning to use them to wage war on our citizens?

The Republiban's attitude toward budget-making is like a "my way or the highway" process. It's like demanding that everybody (but them, of course) needs to eat liver and ocra for every meal ... and if you don't like that .... well then, starve!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ... do yourself a big favor and do a self-check (on a regular basis) ... I do that during every shower, and in July, I found a Stage 1 cancerous lump. I may now have two slightly different-sized breasts ... but the girls are still in place.

In July, I had a bad mammo, followed by a bad ultrasound and finally in August, a biopsy confirming breast cancer (luckily, caught early in Stage 1). During that time, I did what any crocheter would do ... I started a "distraction" project. Surgery's now done and so is the blanket.

I started a 241-row "distraction" mosaic crochet blanket a couple of weeks ago ... an attempt to distract myself as I waited for the results. I have a little less than 100 rows to completion, and the biopsy is finally back. I now have an appt with Oncology tomorrow afternoon.
