Puerto ricans dont want it its why the pro statehood party is bleeding support and the 2 left wing anti colonial parties combine for the 2nd largest affiliated voting block in PR(they have an electoral alliance together)

Yet according to a poll by el nuevo dia the 2 Sovereignty options independents and free association tied with statehood and their largest demographic support are young voters. By the way when you take an account Protest ballots statehood falls below 50%

Except they haven't had even Congress ignores the results because they don't pass DOJ review. Here is a letter from the deputy attorney general in 2020 stating he could not approve funding 4 the referendum bec of its bias towards statehood

Matter of fact I do. According to this data chart from puerto rican elections expert Manuel Alvarez Rivera You can see very clearly that has the support for the new progressive party drops the rate at which blank ballots occur increases showing a clear trend

I didn't lose anything statehood lost. Here are the results from the state elections commission site. Over a 180k left their ballots blank and another 22k sabotaged them according to a puerto rican Supreme Court ruling in 1993 Stating in a referendum when you are not given the option to vote no

Puerto Rican Statehood is a ideologically bankrupt movement that's morbidly corrupt and rife with racism towards afro Puerto Ricans. Which is ironic since its father was an Afro-Puerto Rican who openly said give up if you don't make any progress. People should listen to him

Bec he betrayed puerto rico by backing the fiscal oversight boards. Also his great Uncle was a legendary puerto rican politican who founded the Puerto Rican Independence party. So cozying up with the colonizers is seen negatively amoung its supporters
