Staunchly Left and Even Stauncher Puerto Rican Independista. Lover of Video games, Cartoons, and depressed NYC Sports fan
Puerto Rico's future will be decided by the political party that stabilizes the current situation. Given the political trends I'd say we're heading in that direction

Puerto ricans dont want it its why the pro statehood party is bleeding support and the 2 left wing anti colonial parties combine for the 2nd largest affiliated voting block in PR(they have an electoral alliance together)
November 13, 2025 at 11:18 AM
Sad since its based off a program created by San Juan Mayor Felisa Rincón de Gautier
November 13, 2025 at 8:14 AM
i mean when the party of statehood is bleeding over 7% in 1 year in terms of voter identification that's generally a sign that the movement isn't in good shape
November 13, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Statehooders in Puerto Rico are republican and its a dying movement anyway
November 13, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Yet according to a poll by el nuevo dia the 2 Sovereignty options independents and free association tied with statehood and their largest demographic support are young voters. By the way when you take an account Protest ballots statehood falls below 50%

Correct even the Government of Carlos Prios Soccaras a Pro-Us president of cuba shielded puerto rican nationalist Reynaldo Trilla and Rafel Cancel Mirandia
November 12, 2025 at 11:52 PM
the only pawns are the f****** statehooders. They have done nothing but sell out the puerto rican people at every step .They rely on nothing but misinformation and fear to gain power. Hell the father of their own movement openly said if you're not making any progress give up.
November 12, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Except they haven't had even Congress ignores the results because they don't pass DOJ review. Here is a letter from the deputy attorney general in 2020 stating he could not approve funding 4 the referendum bec of its bias towards statehood
November 12, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Matter of fact I do. According to this data chart from puerto rican elections expert Manuel Alvarez Rivera You can see very clearly that has the support for the new progressive party drops the rate at which blank ballots occur increases showing a clear trend
November 12, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Oh look at that president of the senate Thomas Rivera Schatz using a racial slur against an afro puerto rican journalist
November 12, 2025 at 10:31 PM
I didn't lose anything statehood lost. Here are the results from the state elections commission site. Over a 180k left their ballots blank and another 22k sabotaged them according to a puerto rican Supreme Court ruling in 1993 Stating in a referendum when you are not given the option to vote no

A man so evil he could only be outmatched by his son. A man who said you know that free public health care we have why don't I get rid of it. You know that electrical grid we need to overhaul why don't I ignore it. You know the phone companies that are owned by the government why don't I sell it
November 12, 2025 at 3:25 PM
Puerto Rican Statehood is a ideologically bankrupt movement that's morbidly corrupt and rife with racism towards afro Puerto Ricans. Which is ironic since its father was an Afro-Puerto Rican who openly said give up if you don't make any progress. People should listen to him
November 12, 2025 at 4:19 AM
Cant stand nepo babies. In puerto rico the current resident comissoner got his job bec his grandad was governor. Id bet elderly just thought they were voting 4 his grandad with how much they look alike
November 11, 2025 at 8:45 PM
that would violate the United nations resolutions on Puerto Rico

Made my 1st ever bottle of Puerto Rican Pique
November 11, 2025 at 7:56 PM
The problem isn't the independence camp the problem is the statehood camp their own father openly acknowledged that if statehood is gaining no traction give up and move on to independence
November 11, 2025 at 5:30 PM
There is no benefit to Puerto Rico becoming a state. If their were the pnp wouldnt need to rig the system to maintain power. All they do is cheat steal and lie. Its why they are bleeding support
November 10, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Bec he betrayed puerto rico by backing the fiscal oversight boards. Also his great Uncle was a legendary puerto rican politican who founded the Puerto Rican Independence party. So cozying up with the colonizers is seen negatively amoung its supporters
November 10, 2025 at 8:44 PM
He is a disgrace to his great uncle
November 10, 2025 at 1:50 PM
It's so prevalent that even the party's co-founder Carlos Romero Barcello in an interview before he died admitted Fmr Party President and fmr governor Luis Fortuño sold out the movement by bringing in Opportunist
November 10, 2025 at 8:54 AM
I am a puerto rican. I know the reality of puerro rican politics. The current governor is a maga nut. And she will torpedo her party if she fails to be renominated in 2028
November 10, 2025 at 12:00 AM
2029 Puerto Rico will not be a state I think guarantee you that. Because January 1st 2029 Puerto Rico will swear in its first ever pro-Independence Governor as Juan Dalmau will raise the Sky Blue Puerto Rican Flag over La Fortezla
