In a super fun phase for the past 6 days where Robin just screams through the entire bedtime routine from toothbrushing through bath and until the moment she passes out asleep

Lost track of the amount of puke I have cleaned off things and people over the last 24 hours, I am so ready to not have my entire family continuously be sick with a wide variety of illnesses for months on end

I think I will move on mentally from “baby” to “toddler” when she stops waking up all night and needing me (only me 💀) hourly - like she isn’t fully done needing my body, as a baby, yet

Reporting in that after precisely following a simple 25 step 2 hour long bedtime process, the baby finally slept through the night for the third time in her life! We are never doing anything again after 6:30pm so we can replicate all these steps exactly in the hopes that it will happen again!!!

Feeling deeply sad about TikTok ending, even if it’s resurrected it won’t be the same, the loss of community is so deep. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the past 21 months of late nights and early mornings without it

We just made it around DC and Northern Virginia without slowing down or getting stuck in traffic on our trip south for thanksgiving, AND the baby fell back asleep in the car, which all feels like we are getting away with something

Up for the 5th time tonight with my baby, who is 19 months old & had has slept through the night twice in her life - compiling a list of ways she will sleep: 1) sound machine with ocean waves, 2) subconsciously aware that she’s inconveniencing another human being, 3) dark but not too dark room

Trying to find & follow on here everyone I’ve followed for years (but, let’s be real, just read, not talked to) from twitter & oof, it’s just sad to have to do this again. Flashbacks to when LiveJournal got sold :(
