There are so many inspiring historical personalities in #science 🧪 who are often not given the credit they deserve.
In a field dominated by men, Chien-Shiung Wu became one of the most influential nuclear physicists of the 20th century.
Wu was the first Chinese-American elected to the NAS & the first female president of the APS.
She was awarded the National Medal of Science & the Wolf Prize in Physics.

Toller Thread zum Thema Wiedervereinigung. Als im Ossi im Westen (obgleich erst Kurz vor der Wende geboren), muss ich auch heute noch häufig feststellen, dass sich auf beiden Seiten nur wenige der unterschiedlichen Lebensrealitäten bewusst sind. Solche Konversationen sind auch heute noch so wichtig.
Ich bin 2003 aus Düsseldorf nach Leipzig gezogen. Und geblieben.
