Makes sense, the directors should at least get the chance to show their movies exactly as they intended rather than what the studio pushes them to do.

100%. I admit I wasn't like that in the beginning, but as I evolved, I became more aware of what emotions were needed in the lines, and if my performance listening back reflected what was needed.

And to hear if there's any background noise, that's also a big thing to look out for.
