3. susan sto helit from discworld. she's a "chosen one" character, but her flaws (like being practically atheist in a very magical, god-impacted world, and being entirely logic-brained) make her a lot of fun. pratchett wrote badass women. bonus shout to Death/Death of Rats while i'm here

2. dragon age's morrigan. as a kid, this was maybe the first time i really attached to a video game character. in origins, she may be one of my favorite female characters of all time. bitingly cruel and witty. AND she's a goth, which is awesome. the alistair voodoo doll is still funny.

1. mordin solus from mass effect 2/3. effortlessly funny and endearing. gut-wrenching. very complex. i still cry at his work in mass effect 3. i think he influenced my writing as a whole. makes sense he's as memorable as the love interests. had to be him. someone else might've gotten it wrong.
