Trying to get the cat to lie down beside me so I have room to knit and she keeps desperately throwing herself across my lap.

Kitty baby... it still counts as cuddling... just... give me a little room here.

Anyhoo, that's dinner for me and another idea for that marked-down rotisserie.

These easier options do cost a bit more, but the meal will still be affordable overall and if you don't have the spoons, may be worth it for you. Take care of yourself and don't overdo.

If you don't have pre-shredded chicken in your freezer, or if prepping it is to much for you, canned chicken works well for this. While I don't like the sweet in mine, you might want raisins or some pre-cut fruit from the store to add to yours. Use what works for you.

Adding in some math not shown (because I'm easily confused) this will come out to about 0.95/plate for 1 sandwich and sides.

I'll have a lot to catch up on over the next few days so this will be my quick and easy go-to.

Keeping this simple with a little salt, some mayo and done. This made about 2/3 quart, enough for a couple of days of easy meals for me. I'm estimating 4 to 5 sandwiches.

If I had celery available, I would have added some diced to this.

I found some marked-down rotisserie chickens ($2/ea) at Walmart last week and chopped/shredded the breast of one of them ($0.75) I don't like sweet with my savory, so I'll have grapes on the side (0.50) along with a handful of chips. No nuts in the house, but i do have some sunflower seeds.

I've got the day off today, and I'm going to need to do some catching up on housework. In addition, my first market is in 11 days and I only have one bin of product made thanks to that thumb sprain.

I will not be cooking tonight, y'all.

Note: Kid1 is not a fan of chicken salad, so this will be serving 1 adult

Prepping a low-spoons dinner and it's also budget.

LET'S GO.

Just watched Sable Mae paw through her toy box full of balls to find her favorite mousie, who is currently being murdered in the dining room.

Kitty knows what kitty likes I guess.

I'll add that it ticks all the buzzwords - all natural, gluten free, vegan, etc.- so it's very popular with specialty bakers.

Oh! happy to help lol

I have some apples that need used and have been considering a new batch. And now it will go with MARSHMALLOWS!

I'm listening and not mad. Not even close.

Third sock monkey bunting started.

The market is in two weeks and thanks to my hurt thumb, I'm behind. Focusing my attention on small items to fill out my stock. Probably a few market bags and a bunch of coffee cup sleeves.
Knit project in progress. white collar with a red stripe and a couple of rows of brown at the bottom. Ends are loosely tied to keep them out of the way.

No kitty here. Just a fat-fat 'tato.
Fat tabby cat loafing on the carpet. She has her mousie and her shoestring toys behind her and looks offended over being called fat. But she is.

I wasn't allowed to go to the movies a s a kid, so this was my first watched in the theater. Introduced my kids to it when they were little and I rewatch at every opportunity.

No Suck Fairy detected: "Flight of the Navigator"–the delightful adventures of a boy and his very cool spaceship–is one of those movies you loved as a kid that truly holds up almost 40 years later 🌟

If using cold cuts, I'll still put it in the crock for a little while to let the flavors mix and let the meat soak up the liquids. Usually about an hour. It just tastes better when it has a little time in the crock.

Definitely looks like snack time.

So did I mention one of my coworkers decided to shoot his shot the other night? In front of a customer?

I hope he found some ice for that burn. Because damn that was not pretty.

Overall, it's a mid-low effort meal, something to make when I have enough energy to make something, but not enough to make much.
