I think the statement says that the kickstarter would have to raise more than 800,000$ before all the previous backers are refunded.
Only really popular kickstarters seem to raise that much, and given how unpopular this project seems, I don’t find that likely.

I am satisfied that JG won’t profit aside from their kickstarter backers being refunded.

And as I understand it, they are only currently banned from Kickstarter, not for instance Backerkit, which seems to be growing more popular.
