Saw Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in Nottingham (where everyone was brought up on the legend), several parts of which the whole theatre found unintentionally hilarious, although everyone heartily approved of Alan Rickman's Sheriff, and of the mythification of Sycamore Gap. RIP both.

There needs to be swifter connections between Newcastle and Carlisle too. It's crazy there's no E-W dual carriageway nor fast rail connection for the 4hrs/200miles between Manchester and Glasgow, or Leeds and Edinburgh.

Worth realising the National Park Authorities are also planning authorities, so 'councils' isn't broad enough IMO.

Cross border areas with common landscapes and communities would be good, e.g North Pennines. Especially if the fragmented communities benefitted from critical mass to regain viable infrastructure (6th forms, snowploughs, hospitals, etc) and become sustainable again.
