I just realized that the promise of heaven for being good in life is the same concept as Santa Claus bringing presents to the good children. And, just like those kids, if you need a promise of a reward for being good, you don't actually deserve the reward.

I'm tired. Of all of it. I don't want anything to do with this world anymore. I don't want to work for no reason anymore. I've worked my ass off, and it's gotten me nowhere. I'm tired of it all.

If we make it through this, we need a better way to check the power of the president's office. A 2/3 majority of Congress to impeach and remove a president does no good if that 2/3 is part of his own cult.
