There is no market for oil, a 10 year market for Natural gas. What we need is an east west energy grid, expanded hydro, nuclear, solar and geothermal and hydrogen. Bust carney for not accelerating alternatives, pipelines are just noise, like Eby says, they aren’t real. bsky.app/profile/mark...

It’s just the politics of manipulating a fucking nutcase man. Never gonna happen. Neither Smith nor Trump will be in power long enough to get this going. Nothing burger.
voscovery.bsky.social
This is political smoke for AB and trump. The KS pipeline was blocked by the U.S. not Canada. Trump could lift it anytime. The final section would take a minimum of 4 years and cost 6b and would face insurmountable protests. Carney strokes trumps ego with a project he likes but knows is doomed.

And even if they start out good the money, power and community of arrogance corrupt them. The problem I see is AI is like nothing that’s come before. It’s not Jobs and Gates putting computers in houses. Everything is going to change and these guys are not who we want in charge.

I just finished Empire of Ai by Karen Hao. Covers Altmans, Thiel, rise of Ai tech bros etc. I literally almost shit my pants at how twisted the hubris of these overly powerful clowns is. Houston, we have a problem.

I long for the days of John Boehner, and he was right of Attila the Hun

I honestly believe carneys strategy on pipelines is say yes, not put in public money in and push out the time line until the projects die on the vine. Natural Gas still has a market, but I don’t see oil. The US economy is in serious trouble and I think Carney is waiting for the crash

Also, Canada never cancelled Keystone and Smith always claimed it was Trudeau of course. There were major major protests in the US. I am praying this is smoke and mirrors politics.

B.C. Premier David Eby is clearly beyond frustrated with Danielle Smith's pipeline dreams threatening the B.C. economy.

In a fiery statement, he called her out directly stating...

"This is not the Danielle Smith show!"

Concerning BUT I think this is Carneys way of trying to give trump and smith a public win for something that won’t get built. If it does it will be a small expansion. It says “Midwest” in the article and the Keystone pipeline already goes to the Midwest. Need more info. ieefa.org/resources/in...
Insight on the demise of the Keystone XL pipeline project
An international tribunal has finally closed the door on the controversial Keystone XL crude oil pipeline project sponsored by TC Energy, a Canadian company.

Maybe not everyone in Trumps world is a Nazi, most are just garden variety fascists, but Bondi is a fucking Nazi. She should be treated like one.
voscovery.bsky.social
You just figuring this out now trigger? Crash is coming baby.
voscovery.bsky.social
I’m not sure you fully understand the unhinged nature of the trump administration, how over dependant Canada is and how weak our position is, and how much staggering damage trump can do with his ego. I don’t see how Carney lied. I get you don’t respect him and never will. Oh well.

It’s called eating a massive shit sandwich on behalf of the country. I couldn’t do it.
voscovery.bsky.social
He needs time to provide Alberta alternative investments like nuclear, green hydrogen and the energy grid. Read his work on the carbon crash, he does not believe in a carbon future. That clip is about “energy” not oil.
voscovery.bsky.social
Sorry, that is not evidence. He jumbles, thats not a commitment. The National projects aren’t getting approved unless they make financial sense and are privately funded. There is no market for oil in the 5 years it takes to build another pipeline. Period. He is placating Smith.
voscovery.bsky.social
He has not said that a pipeline is in the national interest. I have watched closely. He said the province must drive the project and a pipeline must be built by private funds. DS knows there aren’t investors she is setting up to blame the Feds. Oil pipeline no way, NG gas pipeline. Maybe/doubtful
voscovery.bsky.social
Carney does not support a pipeline and unless DS can pull 15b of guaranteed ofprivate $ out of her ass it’s not a serious project. There is no market. Carney is biding his time. I bet Alberta goes Nuclear and that’s how the Feds buy her off.
voscovery.bsky.social
He probably is but that message isn’t going to work. Before the end of Nov we will see someone break from PP publicly, then some others. The problem is the party core are Alberta nutcases exactly like the republicans. The CPC isn’t a national party anymore.
voscovery.bsky.social
I don’t know what form of government the US currently is….but Pam Bondi is, without a shadow of a doubt, a fascist-capable of anything.
voscovery.bsky.social
Kissing ass and eating shit on behalf of the country are two different things. We owe Carney a debt of gratitude for choosing the hardest path with Trump. Wait till Carneys book comes out in ten years so we learn how truly insane Trump is.
voscovery.bsky.social
It’s a very sad world when POTUS is so bat shit crazy that’s it’s a huge WIN for our PM to sit in silence in the Oval for a half hour, stroke his ego and not do any damage. I’m giving Carney credit for eating that shit sandwich for the country.
voscovery.bsky.social
Yes. It’s all they can do, they can’t win a policy debate on ideas that include everyone. The big lie they tell is they represent everyone, they don’t. It’s the marriage of religion and $ and self centred-ness just like the states. Divide, devalue and distract is the only thing they really have.
