They’re no longer automatically the head but still a voting member of the School Committee

And as of 24 hours before Inauguration Day, it’s unclear who the next mayor will be because no City Councillor has the 5 votes they need.

It’s time we let more Cambridge residents than just the nine of us on City Council choose who fills this important role for our city government and schools

In Cambridge, the mayor chooses all City Council committee assignments.

They’re the voice of Cambridge in the media & at public events.

And—most importantly—the Mayor serves as a voting member of the School Committee.

But currently, only nine City Councillors get a vote on who the mayor is

The election results are a win for housing & childcare affordability, safer streets, and being a welcoming city.

And I’m committed to making sure they are a win for working people in Cambridge.

I’m so grateful to everyone who made our 1st successful re-election campaign possible.

Thank you!

If you care about housing & childcare affordability, safer streets, sustainability, and protecting immigrant residents, I’m asking for your #1 vote.

Let’s bring this home and keep fighting for a Cambridge that works for all of us
