I share the sadness of the community in losing another great elected official. I had the privilege of serving many Election Days with Sheriff John Aubrey and working in Court under the protection of his Deputy Sheriffs. Shf. Aubrey led with integrity and dedication. We're grateful for his service.

My sympathies are w/ the family of Bobbie Holsclaw. I had the honor of serving as the lead counsel for the Jeff Co Board of Elections for 6 yrs. Bobbie cared deeply about the election process. We are thankful for her service & appreciate her leadership, integrity, and dedication.

Jefferson County has a lot of special traditions. For 55 years, the Schnitzelburg neighborhood has hosted the World Championship Dainty Contest on the last Monday in July. I enjoyed being a part of this year's celebration.

(2/2) I am proud that Mike O’Connell and the JCAO along with many others, advocated for this holiday to be recognized in our Court system. Finally, 160 years after the events of June 19, 1865, Juneteenth is recognized as a holiday at the fed, state, and local level.
