Today was a tempo run. My heart rate was all over the place, at first it didn't want to get into zone 2, then when the tempo section started, it didn't want to stay in zone 4. It might have been the wind for some of the spots, I think it was just fighting me today. Either way, got the run done fine.

Today was the first actual long run since the marathon. It was fine at first but it started hurting about 10 miles in. my pace was slower too but I was in zone 2 the whole time. I guess since it's been about 10-15° hotter than I trained before the marathon, it's causing my heart rate to rise a bit.

Since we did a short speed session on Wednesday today I wanted to do a longer one. I tried a progression run where I start at about 11:00/mi and take off about 30 sec each mile. I did ok, but by mile 5 I was so tired. I need to get more sleep so I can actually recover and keep my paces up. 🫤

Today was just an 8 mile run. I think the heat was getting to me or something because my heart rate was high the whole time. That's not an issue for the speed days, but today is supposed to be zone 2 and I was barely in it half the time. Everything hurt afterwards, but it's about what I expected.

Today was the first speed session since the marathon. My foot still hurts, but it's a LOT better, but about halfway through the hill repeats my left hip started hurting. I think I'll add another hip mobility to my routine while I'm still fiddling with it. Overall I was happy with the session though.

I forgot to post my run on Monday. Well, Monday was my first run since the marathon. My left foot still hurt and I think I hurt my right hamstring compensating for it, but it's fine. I needed to get moving again. This run wasn't so fun, but I needed it to get started moving again.

Today was the flying pig marathon. I didn't get sub 4 like I wanted but I didn't really have high hopes for that to begin with. Though if I hadn't run the 15k so hard yesterday I might have done it. Either way I'm very happy with my time. Taking a week off then next stop; the air force marathon! 😁

Today was the Toyota 10k and the Queen's City Running 5k. I ran my 10k hard so I can use the numbers to set my heart rate zones for the next training block, which caused my 5k time to suffer a bit but that's ok. I just wanted to get done. It's raining so much and I'm so cold. 🥶
50 West Mile got delayed 30 mins due to rain, but I got it done. Also was getting outpaced by 12 year olds so that was entertaining 😂. I have more speed work planned for the next training block so hopefully I'll do better next time. 😁

I've had plenty of time to work on the next training plan. I have a friend that wants to train with me for this next marathon too so 3 days of my plan are tied to his runs too but I get some solo runs again finally. Also made a more reasonable strength plan with a comprehensive mobility routine.

It's my last run of any kind before the flying pig weekend. My next run will be for the 50 west mile on Friday, the Toyota 10k and queens city 5k on Saturday and the flying pig marathon on Sunday. I can't wait. I wanna run now. I've been using all the extra free time to plan for my next marathon.

I ran it at work, but unfortunately they let the jockeys on the track about 2 hours earlier than they normally do, so I had to leave the track in a hurry and run in the parking lot instead. No biggie, just surprising

Yesterday was strength training and I had to add some exercises since I realized I have a weak right hip flexor. I managed to squat all my plates so now I gotta get more I guess 😁. I also had to take a walk for some more steps since I was still short for the day.

Today I logged my work as a walk to see what it would say I burned while working. But mainly it was the long run. We ran 16 miles, but my friend's knee started hurting around mile 14, so we walked the last 2. He's getting about 2 miles further each week so he's getting better 😁

I've not been posting for the last week because I just haven't been feeling up to it. I'm still doing my runs and I'll post them all under this thread so I don't spam the feed. I just get behind and then it feels like so much work to catch back up, and I'm so tired lately.

Today is my workout day, but it's still recovery week, so I'm still doing half reps and half weight for everything. I need to rework my workout though before I start my next training block. Also did a walk around the park for some extra steps. Only 43 days until my first actual marathon. 😁

I got Mistborn: the final empire on audible and am halfway through it and I want to know what happens to Vin, so I got the first trilogy in the hopes it follows her, and a chunk of the first part of the cosmere collection so I can continue reading past that once I get there 😁

today was supposed to be a 5k recovery run, but I was still disappointed in what I got done on Wednesday so I switched to 5 miles instead. that and I was curious how far it would be if I just ran around the block. 😁

Today is the strength workout I pushed off from Tuesday. The pain is almost completely gone but the workouts themselves felt hard. I'm likely still recovering from the day before. I also had to do an extra walk for steps since I took PTO for this recovery week, mainly since I was nearly capped again

Yesterday I didn't feel well. I couldn't sleep at all and my feet and ankles still hurt a bit, but I did DDR since it works for speed work, at least for recovery week. I would have preferred a longer session, but, like I said, I couldn't sleep at all the night before so the energy just wasn't there.

My left foot and right ankle still hurt from sunday's run, so I decided to move the workout today to Thursday. I still needed my steps though, so I walked to the park and played some disc golf. still didn't do well, especially as I couldn't do run ups due to my ankle and feet, still fun though. 😁

Well it's day 1 of recovery week and I'm supposed to do 14k but with the marathon yesterday, everything still hurts too much. Still 4.3mi(6.9k) isn't terrible. If I really wanted, I could count work with that and we usually get another 6mi(9.6k) at work, but it's not the same intensity.

I took yesterday as a rest day solely because today I wanted to run a marathon to marathon. We kept joking about it as an idea at work and I figured, tomorrow starts my recovery week, so I'll do it today. I kept it in zone 1-2 the whole time, but I don't think I did too bad for starting in December

Today was an 8 mi run. I should have done it at zone 2 since I have a dumb idea for a run to do on Sunday, but I wanted to get home sooner today. it wasn't bad though. kept a 170 cadence for the first 4 miles and 180 for the 4 miles back. 😁 I'm getting better at keeping 180 but 170 is still easier
