I got a comm to retexture one of my older models since I've improved in the last 3 years, and omg it's so satisfying to improve an older model.

So I just create animations for all the mouth shapes then use the mouth animation type “parameter only” and setup an animation layer to trigger the mouth animations at 0 transition time.

I actually have a tutorial going over this on my Patreon if you want.

I didn't even start making lowpoly models in 2020, and it was partially due to the pandemic that I got really into VR and then V-Tubing which made me obsessed with creating my own avatars and eventually for others.
