Islam owes me a debt for my 20 years of human rights work for Muslims.

I only consume art that is in the English language. I am not a representative of most Indians. The stupid opposition to India's right-wing government tried to stop a hijab ban.

Most people in India prefer Twitter. Most Indians are conservatives.

Video games are a borderline right-wing artform.

Since most people only care about themselves, maybe I should only care about myself. The rat race has won. The billionaires have won.

"2007 Indian Idol winner Prashant Tamang has passed away in Delhi. A practicing #Buddhist, he performed #Nepali songs in support of the #Tibetan cause, which became popular across Tibetan regions." - Friends of Tibet on Twitter

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prashant Tamang, the Gorkha singer and actor who was married to my niece Martha Aley. He suffered a stroke. He leaves behind a daughter who he loved very much. The Gorkha community must take care of his family.

I got eaten by the sandworm for the first time today in Dune: Awakening. As a sociologist, it reminds me of indigenous people who do not have an asymmetrical relationship with animals like moderns do. Darwinian survival, or resistance to nature, has become mastery of nature in the hands of a few.

I encountered a badly designed level in Sniper Elite 5 in which I had to take down an entire platoon with no place to take cover behind. It is an open agricultural field with long grass here and there.

I wish that I could post the video where I snipe a Nazi soldier shooting at me through a large artillery railgun at long range in Sniper Elite 5. That was the only way to stop him. However, that was not enough. The entire platoon was hunting me in an open agricultural field with little cover.

Sniper Elite 5 is a really difficult game. The minute they discover you, an entire enemy platoon is hunting you all at once. I uninstalled it. I am finishing my playthrough of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition instead.

Detroit: Become Human is definitely making a case about the human ability to feel or over that maybe feelings are not a good thing after all. It de-centers the debate about the asymmetrical power relations between Paleolithic human brains and machine intelligence in an AI.

The first Silver Spook game was my Deus Ex total conversion Terminus Machina. Homeless hacktivist dodges robot cops & drone-strikes in downtown San Fran amidst financial collapse & 90% AI-driven unemployment, tries to grow food & jailbreak prison-slaves into a resistance! #indiegame #retrogame

The player in Detroit: Become Human is made to look at the abusive and emotional side of humans through the eyes of an android slave, suggesting that what is wrong is the social dialectic of master-slave and not human-machine intelligence.

It's incredible that AI androids with emotions in Detroit: Become Human are portrayed as servants in the beginning, like slaves. The player is made to do menial and servile tasks, one for a poor drug addict dad and another for a rich artist. Humans are portrayed as emotional and abusive.

What if the apocalypse didn’t hate us? What if it just wanted to help? Pluribus ends with a village deemed obsolete and an atom bomb delivered on request. Gilligan’s calmest horror about uniformity and AI.

I have Sniper Elite V2, Sniper Elite 3, Sniper Elite 4 and Sniper Elite 5. In all of them, the player fights Nazis in World War II.

In Dune: Awakening yesterday, while looking for scrap metal, I wandered too close to a patrol ship hovering above. It shined a light on me and said, "Identify yourself" and then started shooting at me. I ran away from it to shelter. I felt like an indigenous person who is being hunted.
