Bluesky with its 300 is not a good place to discuss this but you seem very emotional about this and very adamant about some points you believe that clearly contradict the facts. But I won't try to convince you otherwise because it's just inconvenient to do that here.

Notable releases this year include Ghost Town, Reach and Arken Age. Also Dead Pool which releases today. Batman Arkham Shadow, Asgard's Wrath II and Assassin's Creed are big titles from recent years.

Orion comes with a puck but is otherwise self contained. Of course it will be difficult (maybe impossible, at least for the foreseeable future) to fit everything in a glasses factor but that is definitely the goal here.

Cook wanted AR glasses. Since that was impossible, they released AVP instead.

Android XR by Google is already used for both MR headsets and AR glasses. Any MR app will also run in AR, since MR is AR on a VR headset with pass-through. Both can be peripherals or stand-alone.

I agree that AR glasses will not provide good VR, we'll still need dedicated devices for that.

Mixed reality (devices that can do either VR or AR by means of pass-through) are just a step-stone until smart devices can be boilt down to a glasses form factor.
VR or large screens with artificial locomotion will always cause nausea for some, but that's comparable to gaming devices. 2/2

I don't know of a single person who actually puked after using VR, only feel sick and maybe circling the bowl. But again, with the eventual AR glasses (which are supposed to replace phones), you will just see the world as it is and the augments added on top. Zero cause for motion sickness. 1/2

If your reactions are severe and don't get better, it's fair to give up. But VR without artificial locomotion (like Beat Saber or Superhot) or MR should still be safe. 3/3

If you get sick the first time, stop and don't push yourself. But depending on how fast you recover afterwards, you can challenge yourself again and try to go for longer each time. 2/3

Actually, since many people can build a resistance to motion sickness, either caused by reading while riding a car or artificial locomotion in games, starting with a large 2D screen can help ease you into getting VR legs. 1/3

You can't show that something doesn't happen in a study, only the reverse. The burden of proof lies in showing that it does cause motion sickness.

Artificial locomotion is known to cause motion sickness and you can have that in AVP. It's generally avoided and warned of, if an app does it.

On a large screen, I assume? That makes sense, you would get the same effect from a beamer or if you were to play a game in the cinema. Some even get this from regular small screens.

The cause of sickness is artificial locomotion. In this case it's not even in or due to VR, it's from a screen.

A small percentage is very sensitive to flaws in the simulation, flaws that would cause a majority to get sick back in the 80ies because the tech wasn't there yet, and will get sick regardless. But that is a much smaller group than what these stats suggest. 2/2

Weird. I'm out of guesses then.

Did you link your Nintendo account on your 3DS? It allowed to have shared funds on 3DS, Wii U and Switch I think.

If you never linked your account, you probably can't anymore but I'm not sure.

This app is neat, it has activity tracking, including our old Wii U and 3DS data.

People think morals bind them but they're also a path to freedom. If you govern yourself, your morals set you free (from outside governance).
When you let your enemy govern your morals though, they become your master.

Good for the good, bad for the bad -> you're governed by outside forces.

I wouldn't recommend VR modded games if you're a beginner, because of motion sickness. But Land's End is very comfortable:

I really liked Alba, got it for Switch as well to let my mom play it. But she wasn't into it, she only likes quiz games.
