I hope you chopped your onion super fine. Listening to my friends talk about making it while I lived in Qc, that seemed to be an essential part, based on how much they complained about doing it. One person I know owns a slap chop just so they can dice onions super fine for tourtière.

I thought something like this was happening when Canada arrested Meng Wanzhou. Maybe I was missing some nuances, but China didn't seem to really believe that Canadian officials couldn't just randomly order her released.

I wonder how much people are under rating the difference 2 makes. If you're saving for a deposit you need some serious savings before it's less than a year of saving time and if you're repaying a mortgage it needs to be more than 600k before the time the 20k saves you is less than a year.

An old colleague of mine once complained that people don't move more like fluids, since if they did they would speed up as the street go narrower. Though, that was for much less dense crowds.

I think part of it is approval rating. Trump is still above water there, for one of the only times in his political career. A lot of political people pay close attention to stuff like that.

There was a publisher that did something like that for a while iirc. They did exclusively genre fiction, and it was something like 15 years ago.
