I honestly always preferred Drow depictions as very dark blue or very dark purple anyway - it's more alien and exotic (thanks, Star Trek...)
And that's the way I read them in fiction also: outsiders whose God wants them to believe they're the good guys and everyone else is evil.

My and my player who plays Aria Hawk are old school fans of BT and Canopian Catgirls (90s style).
Aria is actually a genetic cat girl - her family had been doing other manipulations for some time while working as spies from their independent trade dropship.
