Nice sequence. Another technique is to elevate head of bed 30deg, identify fluid collection by diaphragm w anterior axillary probe position. After prep, pass insertion needle/catheter under real time guidance towards the diaphragm. Comfortable for patient, guided, and maximizes fluid removed.
