When my teen girls were 5, 3 and 3 we were at the mall shopping for a Mother’s Day gift and we got on the down escalator. My 5YO froze and started crying but the 3YOs were already headed down. I begged her to come to us but then a sweet lady told her it was ok, held her hand and got her down to me.
