Nuclear energy generalist, with dark past in science, activism, and live action role playing.

Currently working at OECD/NEA as nuclear fuel specialist, here in personal capacity.
Jossain kyllä mainittiin että joutuvat ainakin osaan vaihtamaan rautaakin?

Heh.

Unfortunately there most likely will be several rounds of mistranslations, as records of the future past assert attribute at least some family atomics to Härkönens.

Kebabrullaa ei saa näkemättömäksi nyt kun sen mainitsit.

The thing with regulations though is that the nuclear specific ones are not as much an issue to put on similar level. But thanks to e.g. fire regulations you need to redesign plant layouts for EPRs in Finland, France, and UK.

And licensing is not only about the plant, but also about the people.

Think what happened with Uber et al. and then be afraid what are their aims there.

For streamlining regulations, Yeah, to whose regulations. In EU it’s both fights between nuclear and antinuclear block, but also with the French and the others.

I believe you’re a bit mixing law and regulation there. The law might be dictated by one person, regulations have evolved constantly.

But your main point stands. I would like to add that the main source of ”too much regulation” is the heavily VC/startup influenced US debate flowing here…

I moved to Paris at the start of this year without knowing almost any French. I’m just traumatized. And that map is nightmare material. 😅

Finnish ”e” is always pronounced as French ”é”, and ”ä” with the sound the French make when they see ”in” (like, how French pronounce ”Finlande” sounds to me ”Fääland”).

And all letters have corresponding sounds.

My French teacher always prepared for pain when she asks me to read French texts...

Thanks for the thread! And since airplanes were mentioned, guess what I saw in person couple weeks ago!

Reactor goes into the drum, hot air flows towards viewer’s right.

MAX (Mixed Actinide, X is like MOX and because in nuclear energy you have always some weird legacy stuff no-one remembers why) or MIX (MIXed) fuel?

Also MIN-MAX fuel!

Sorry, Friday.
