Just finished Expedition 33, excellent game that everyone should play. There's lots of post game stuff, but I'm going to skip that...tried some before I went into the final battle, but it all seems like typical JRPG "stupid hard bosses just for the sake of being stupid hard". Not my thing.

Today is the day…
Finished the Lies of P Overture DLC tonight. Very tough bosses in this one. Not Elden Ring DLC Promised Consort Radahn tough, but still pretty darn tough! Going to finish the main story run, and then my PC gaming time will be completely devoted back to Ultima Underworld again.

Finished the Lies of P Overture DLC tonight. Very tough bosses in this one. Not Elden Ring DLC Promised Consort Radahn tough, but still pretty darn tough! Going to finish the main story run, and then my PC gaming time will be completely devoted back to Ultima Underworld again.
I've been playing Lies of P again. On PC this time not Xbox, my son bought the DLC on Steam so I've been working my way up to where it begins using family sharing. Just started tonight, he says it's a lot harder than the main game...but P is such a fun game, bring it on!

Started Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 the other day. Gameplay seems pretty typical JRPG fare, but the early story and acting really hits hard...I get the hype now, hope this continues throughout the game!

Finished God of War Ragnarok today, got the platinum for both the main game and the DLC. Surprised myself since I didn't chase the plat for the first game, and I don't generally care for roguelikes (which is what the DLC is).

Started my Ultima Underworld replay last night. This was the very first game I purchased on my crappy 486 when I made the jump from Apple ][e in 1993. No sound card in that PC, sound was just beeps and clicks! Got the mouselook hack installed today, an hour with the OG interface was rough...

Martian Dreams replay complete! Mostly played it blind like my first time in the 90s, but I'm not as patient as I was in my 20s so I used @spoonshiro.com's walkthrough a couple of times to see where to go next instead of wandering around forever.

Apparently this is a trend: What do your first five Steam purchases say about me? Answer: Not much, except that 2012 was the year I finally embraced digital games. Everything was big box before that. The not-so-secret trend across my entire library is 95% were on sale or free.

I checked my log and it's been *two years* since I got side tracked from my Ultima replays. Well, with AC Shadows completed, that ends now. Tomorrow I pick back up where I left off with Martian Dreams! This plus God of War Ragnarok should be a good palate cleanser from 100-hour games.

Just finished Assassin's Creed Shadows. 96 hours! After this and Cyberpunk, I am ready for some shorter games! If you like the AC formula and/or ninjas and samurai, obviously this will be a good game for you...if neither of those are true, probably not so much.

Started God of War Ragnarok today. Picked it up at a Xmas sale for ~$20 IIRC, just now getting around to it. Hopefully I "get it" faster than the last GoW because I've been doing so many Souls-like and other combat games over the last few years that require a "no button mashing" approach.

Beat all the "original" bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign and rolled credits, so I guess I will count this as a completed game. I will probably play some more, but not as much as I did before.

After 115 hours, I think I've squeezed all the juice out of Cyberpunk 2077 that I'm going to. Wonderful game. Who needs GTA 6? Give me Cyberpunk 2!!!

Just finished DOOM The Dark Ages. Very polished game, I do recommend as a standalone shooter, but it just doesn't feel like "DOOM". This centuries old interstellar god killer Slayer is not DOOM. DOOM is about a space marine fighting demons from hell on Mars.

There haven't been a ton of memorable moments in DOOM The Dark Ages, but I did get a chuckle out of this scene.

Oh they were sold years ago. The only few games I have left are the ones that weren’t valuable enough on EBay to sell and that sad little collection *is* on a bookshelf. At one point I had every Ultima except U1-2 though.

Just finished Lords of the Fallen. Recommended for any souls-like fan, reminds me most of Dark Souls 2 (which gets a lot of undeserved hate). I'm expecting it to leave GamePass this month b/c it's going to be a year, so not going to start a NG+ or chase the 100%.

Finished Robocop: Rogue City tonight. It was...fine? 7/10, and one of those points is just because I like Robocop. Without the Robocop nostalgia, it's a pretty mid shooter. But I wanted to finish it before my PS+ expires, so mission accomplished.
