Fun bit of trivia that I learned about years ago; there were apparently ancient Egyptian archaeologists trying to make sense of ruins they were finding some 2000-4000 years ago. The scale of the timeline is a little daunting even before considering what kinds of civilizations came before it all 🤔

Same problem brewing in Canada with Canada Post, and the byline that it's hemorrhaging money. No one says the same thing about Parks Services, Public Transit, or the different branches of any country's military. It's a public service, its profitability is irrelevant, it's not supposed to break even.
