I actually like that as a solution for tails. Rather than getting pants tailored with a cutout, just have a little thing to button onto, or just sewn on buttons with a little strap.

I swear, with how well you do the asymmetrical outfits, would love to see a take with the Neo-Ishgardian Fending armor.
