I’m so angry that it wasn’t Nolan there with me in Texas instead of… that thing.

I had a dream that Nolan and I were able to move back into my old house and I woke up so incredibly devastated that it wasn’t real.

I obviously wouldn’t be here today if I didn’t leave. And I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to be with Nolan, which makes it feel worth leaving. But I can’t even talk about it in the past tense because a part of me still feels like I’m there.

I miss the sound of the blue jays, and the walks I’d take in the neighborhood I worked in, I miss the light tour they’d do every Christmas season, and the little lily pad park down the street. I miss the drive to the next town over to see my friend. I miss HEB. I miss all of my stray babies
