The good thing though is that 160$ later I was back up running with a new display (again, pretty easy to replace, would have never been the case w/ other brands I feel). And now I’m being a bit more gentle in the handling 😁

lols 😆 to be fair and for the sake of transparency, my screen broke (I think the display connector bent?) when I was at a conference and I had it in the backpack all day (for workshops, etc). So you have to be a bit more careful (never happened to me with a MacBook)

PS: The other neat thing is that the fingerprint sensor works on Linux!

I had my FW 13” for a while now: build quality is not as good as MacBooks but the repairability is real and makes you feel as if you actually own it (I just recently updated the webcam to their 2nd gen version and it was a breeze). If there’s still Gleam meetups happening in London I can show you!👨🏻💻
