Dunno if it's the case with this game but I kinda feel like it's fine to tell a finite story thru gambling systems. I'd take issue if the game uses these systems to hook you in and drag you along a padded out experience like gacha games do. Ofc if you have a history of addiction stay away tho.

All of this can be made. Illicit private servers for plenty of games, complex or not, have existed for years and new abandoned games get cracked in similar manners. This movement aims to make this process easier on the consumer and give it actual rights.
Don't see how this is unreasonable.

The goal is for games to remain playable at the end of support, a lot of the games affected by this don't necessarily need to be connected to a server to function properly. For those that do a way to host one would suffice.

The petition is meant to start a conversation about what to actually do and arrive at a compromise.
All online games have tools to connect the game to a server, those tools could be given to players to host their own servers.
