I've always loved Despark as a removal spell in Commander, but lately it has been rotting in my hand. Is the format really that fast? What is happening?

I've been working on a Hama, the Bloodbender list. And in talking about it at the office, @jordanpigeon.bsky.social and I came to the realization that Hama returns the spell once cast to it's owner's graveyard.
So if your opponent has an Essence Flux (et al) in their bin, she goes infinite.

I had a ton of fun at the Avatar prerelease! My deck felt fast and consistent with a few huge bombs. Went Orzhov despite picking the Toph kit and it paid off!

Holy shit. We did it. I've never made Mythic before. And I did it entirely jamming Powered Cube.

FINALLY got my ass to Diamond after seven wins with a moderate Izzet artifacts deck and this Lurrus pile. I've been very impressed with Lurrus in the Powered Cube.

I'm working on a whole Toph deck for a future episode and she is SO much cooler than she looks. Honestly, this commander has me more excited than any in a long time.

A 'lands matter' deck for only $20? The gloves are coming off for this one!
I built a nasty, little deck with a Commander I've been keeping at arm's length for a long time (for good reason). But on this tight of a budget, SURELY she's not the problem at the table. 😉

No major changes to the Brackets this time, but we've been working on clarifying some of the ~*vibes~* around each Bracket, including adding "safe turns" and delineating expectations for decks, win conditions, and gameplay.
