I’m not seeing anything to support your assertion that Murphy is among the most “unhinged” anti-immigrant flamethrowers. I agree that Democrats as a whole view immigrants through a purely political lens, only supporting them when polling says it’s OK. But I don’t get your fixation on Murphy.

I reread this thread, and I’m confused. You say Sen. Murphy has been “one of the most unhinged proponents of anti-immigrant rhetoric” with no examples. In 2018, Murphy said term “chain migration” dehumanizes immigrants. He voted against the Laken Riley Act. What makes him so “unhinged?”

What gets me is recent Democratic complaint of “secret police.” Both parties have been pouring money into”secret police” (ie local police departments and sheriff’s offices) for decades. Police departments near me rarely, if ever, release body cam footage, nor do most name officers who kill people.

What gets lost in this discussion is that directing the U.S. military to invade Greenland would be an illegal order. With that said, I have no faith that military leadership would defy this illegal order. (See bombing of boats and kidnapping of Maduro.)

Reminds me of when video of Ahmaud Arbery’s murder was leaked to exonerate killers. All three are serving life in prison. Hopefully, the same happens here.
