MLSS Power Up concepts: Volume 1
Since finishing Cape Mario and Luigi's sprite sheet, I've been thinking how I could make other power ups look in the Superstar Saga style using the same idle/stand poses to start.
Volume 1 covers some flowers and Mario 3 power ups.

One day I decided to try playing the minigame Wanted! Averaging 500 levels every hour cause I got to level 1000 in the second hour so safe to say I'm good at finding Luigi. Felt like some levels were repeated

Today marks 5 years since starting my journey into learning pixel art, all starting with Mario and Luigi. This is a remake of my very first idea I had in mind to make all the way back then to show how far I've come from that point and how far I can probably still go.

I've learned how to go through the animation IDs of the Superstar Saga prototype so I can properly complete the prototype Mario and Luigi sheets I wanted to make for a while, and getting to this particular frame was really funny to me

Superstar Saga styled capes for Mario and Luigi, something I've been thinking about for a while

First palette is of palette limitations if the cape were to be attached to Mario/Luigi, sharing the same one palette, the other being if the cape was layered on top and could have an extra colour seen in my render recreations.

Superstar Saga's credits theme is very sentimental for me, and I have a very similar idea to this when it plays that the whistling heard comes from Mario and then Luigi too near the end.
It's a credits theme that should be talked about more, really the best in the franchise
