This is a photo from a room at the cardiac unit of the hospital. It felt poignant to me because outside the window looked so calm, while inside the unit, there were 8 patients all in different stages of trying to stay alive.

Today is my birthday, but my son just informed me that it's Mario day, so I guess we're celebrating that too.

I am so looking forward to spring. I need some warmth!

One of the best classes I took in college, which I am grateful to have taken, was called the analysis of argument. I loved that class and really incorporated what I was learning. It has really helped me step back from "sides" and look at the whole picture. I will forever be grateful for that class.

Husband and I are sitting in the car, in the garage, listening to the end of Hungry Like the Wolf, by Duran Duran, because Norway I'm going in until the song is over.
