Diamine #Inkvent day 24!

Antler is a pigment, and such an odd shade. Is it brown? Purple? Gray?

Share your thoughts on this one, please.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 22, a chameleon pigment called Pineapple Spritz. I dislike yellow so not excited about it.

Day 23 is also a chameleon called Let It Snow. Not sure how I had the willpower not to do the old Le Tits Now meme but I did (be proud). It's pretty, a bright blue with silver shimmer.

Diamine #Inkvent Days... I don't even know anymore... 19-21!

Overcast - a standard gray blue that holds up to the name lovely.
Ambiance - a peachy chameleon with pink shimmer. I like it despite how cutesy it is.
Chaos - an extreme sheen purple as dark as my heart that shades to a dark brown.

Diamine #Inkvent day 18! Laurel is an extreme sheen ink that can't seem to decide whether it wants to be a green-black or a festive burgundy.

Diamine #Inkvent day 17! Gala is marked standard but I'm quite fond of it. A pinky-violet shade.

Two inks today! Diamine #inkvent day 13 is Molten Basalt. A dark blue-black with a sheen toward...copper?

Day 14 is a pigment ink called Mittens. It's a hot pink and didn't budge when I tried to smudge it with water. Not my shade, but super playful.

Diamine #Inkvent 12. Bubbly is a shimmery champagne shade. I think my nib wasn't clean, because there's a bit of green in the written text. Looks great, but isn't natural.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 11. Brrr! is a pigment shimmer ink. Good luck getting much shimmer out of this one, because it settles to the bottom of the bottle about 3 seconds after you shake it. Beautiful ink though.

Diamine #Inkvent 10. Nostalgia is a chameleon ink. An almost brown maroon that shifts to hot pink. (Do all chameleon inks shift to pink??)

Diamine #inkvent! Day 9! Bittersweet! I spilled it on my fingers bc of course I did! Highly recommend Amodex Ink & Stain remover, took it right off.

Bittersweet is a standard shade in mint green. I kinda dig it.

Time for Diamine #Inkvent Day 8! I know there are lots of similar shades out there but a deep space blue with a purple sheen will forever have my heart. Marked as extreme sheen, this ink fulfills its promise. Two photos today of the same card.

Diamine Day 7 was... yesterday! But I was resting. So here's Blush, a standard shade. A deep pink-red that looks like what you think fresh blood would look like. (It doesn't.)

Diamine #Inkvent Day 6. Fir & Fog is marked as a chameleon ink. Gonna have to sketch something with it, bc I'm not seeing it in my swatch. A very pretty blue-green-gray shade though.

On a bit of Rhodia paper today bc I have. Um. Misplaced my swatch cards.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 4! Today's ink is scented! It's also called Smoky Tabacco, and yes the scent is what it says on the tin. Not sure I'm a fan. The ink itself is a medium gray-brown in the swatch but is a dark brown-black off my nib. Ignore the shine, that's just my lamp on wet ink.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 2 is Energy! Marked as a sheening ink, it is a deep plum that shades to an odd green gold. A drop of water brings out an eggplanty shade. Also, yes, I smudged this swatch card to hell.

It is time for the Inkening! Diamine Advent Calendar Day 1 is called Celestial Skies. Marked as a shimmer ink, it's a beautiful deep blue with a pine green shimmer. Also seeing some purple sheening under a lamp.

Without downloading new pics, what's your energy going into 2025?

I'm trying to keep this in mind. (Technically a graphic, not a pic, but it's in my gallery, so it counts.)
A 2x2 table with column labels: something goes poorly, and something goes well. The row labels read: worry about something, and don't worry about something. The first row of the table reads: suffer twice and suffer once. The second row reads suffer once and don't suffer. The chart is saying that worrying about something that goes poorly, you suffer twice. If you worry about something that goes well, you've still made yourself suffer by worrying. If you don't worry but something goes poorly, well you'll be suffering after rather than before. But if you dont worry about something that goes well, you havent suffered at all. So really the best thing to do is to not worry and hopw things go well.

An advanced copy of the Coyote Run novella by Lilith Saintcrow from Horned Lark Press. The cover of the book has one figure with guns blazing, messy hair and a long coat. There is another figure slightly below the other, wearing overalls, who has clearly just smacked the hell out of someone with a large wrench. The someone has a skull face with electronic protrusions and a red symbol on its forehead. The novella lies on top of a mailing envelope with the Horned Lark logo (which is a Horned Lark photo). The envelope has "Today is a good day to defy fascism. Lets read a book." printed on it.
