The Wakefield Museum Association was founded to preserve the community's history, from its founding in 1869 as the first English colony in Kansas, to the present day.
Please swing by the annual Christmas bazaar to shop, eat, and stroll through the exhibits. We will offer four varieties of soup, cinnamon rolls, and desserts for purchase, with free coffee. Shop both hand crafted items and white elephant objects.

The original founders.
The museum was founded in 1974 with 7,000 square feet of exhibit space. With the latest expansion, dedicated 50 years later, the museum has grown to 24,000 square feet.
