Oh yeah, I forgot about the gators. My dog's breed is supposed to like swimming but I took her to the beach and she didn't seem interested except to plop her butt in shallow water to cool off in the hot weather.

But in my experience the other components of a fixture may not be so reliable (hello capacitors!), especially if cheap. Also bad fixture design can really shorten lifetime (thermal engineering is very important!) 2)
