Again, the Republican party has shown itself to be completely unhinged and willing to ignore, lie or deceive at will in service of this man. As someone outside of the US looking in I have been amazed by how all this has happened with zero pushback

And here's the thing, the rest of the World will not forgive and forget. Ties and bonds, decades in the making have been destroyed in the name of one man's narcissism. It's also shown how morally repugnant right wing politics is.
