06/30🧵 - Let’s start with what it means to build a new road or infrastructure. Every new project is justified by the promise of more business and community. But government can’t build aimlessly. It has to be strategic. Every new road comes with long-term costs, and those costs have to be paid back.

Just left @sanders.senate.gov’s rally in Shreveport, LA of over 2,000 strong and fired up for the Southern progressive movement. This wasn’t just a rally, it was a turning point for the Southern Democratic revival. November’s coming.
