This is how we spent our Republic Day. The wonderful folks at Rustomjee Central Park allowed us to engage with residents during their Republic Day event, which led to many fantastic conversations about walkability issues in their locality.

Footage from the S V Road Walk on Monday, Goregaon West. The pedestrian crossing point visible is not even as wide as the painted zebra crossing. And everyday people go through this situation in the morning and the evening rush hour.

Our seniors are hit hard by the poor walkability in our cities. From independence and health to loneliness, all aspects of their lives are affected by the abysmal state of walkability. This needs to be realised by the politicians who have the previledge to travel in their Fortuners at old age

Over 2.5 years, we've documented 116 km of footpaths on foot in Mumbai and Thane, topping the #Mapillary leaderboard. Unlike others using vehicles, we're the only ones achieving this on foot, securing our #1 spot. 🙂
