Trump Crash Update, $VIX now 89.3% above 10 Day SMA, its extreme Fear and oversold mkt so probably short squeeze soon but unless Congress actually steps in (holding breath), how do we get real reversal?

OK $VIX closed 44.2% above the 10 Day Simple Moving Average, that's enormous and pretty overbought (mkt itself oversold). Crashes come off oversold too, but more probable event is a short squeezing rally next week.....off what level this stops at impossible to know

Putting on my old hat for a sec, the $VIX closing >20% above its 10-day Simple Moving Average is usually (not always!) a sign that the market is oversold. Right now its at 38%. I don't keep this data any more but its not a common event to get this extended
