Note to potential new followers: I block what I view as “X-rated” accounts, because I don’t want my name on re-posts appearing in such contexts, but I do post art that others, perhaps, might view as “R-rated.” Which is to say, please do your research, i.e., browse the archive, before you sign up.

Yves Simard’s Circe illustration was included in “European Illustration 75/76: The Second Annual of European Editorial, Book, Advertising, Film Animation, and Design Art,” which is where I came across it, and at the time, Yves was based in London, England. And that’s all I know about Yves Simard.

I've been humbled by people I've never even met hanging my art in their homes. During hard times, strangers have written to me to tell me my art was important to them. I've gotten to know people from all over the world who I'm grateful to call my friends. Social media made all of this possible

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Every positive thing I can think of has been offset by several negative things, and yet, I continue to participate, sort of, another victim of intermittent variable rewards.

Painting of two hands folded upon each other, each raising a finger to create an impression of horns. Behind them a mysterious female figure without a face and in the shadow thrown by the hands two glowing red eyes. Drawing of a creepy lady peeking at the viewer from behind a gnarly tree. She has a piercing gaze of two white glowing eyes. A surreal artwork of a witch being oen with a landscape of fir trees and rolling fields. Two boys nearly kissing with thorny roses growing from their mouths. Much drama. Much dark romantic vibes. Also blood.

Have been enjoying “PCB — Science Fiction,” a low budget YouTube channel w/ only 709 subscribers, created & hosted by Christian Maltais. In his latest, Christian discusses the “quintessential cosmic horror” movie, “Aniara” (2018): “Nothing matters, but it sure hurts a lot!”

Will this be a good combination? No matter. The noodles are just a delivery system for salt anyway.

More mixing nonsense, but I'm having too much fun with it! 😊
A drawing of a woman in a mix of late medieval plate armor and late roman armor, with light green and red clothes. She is wielding a spear and a shield, and wearing a golden late roman helmet. Her shield is painting with three arrows piercing through a dragon.
