A short story is never so good as it is when it pops into to your head

Here is a view looking out of the crater back to Spirit Lake and Johnston ridge. (Took the helicopter tour. Well worth the money)

Somehow, while struggling with a longer story, the first draft of a flash piece just finished itself. #writing

I have been on a news fast, but this makes me curious: wasn’t he president while the Afghanistan war was still going on?

I remember enjoying the interiors as well, and the final shot, it all made me (briefly) want to live in a big city

I watched that when it first came out out and remember it fondly. A movie with real conversation, and no special effects.

That was weird… I had reserved a copy after the first few minutes of your podcast, but by the end I was talked out of it!

This isn’t the cat that you said (at the NC festival) would eat your face if you failed to sell enough books is it?

I’d like one. Have a discord account but almost never use it. This might bring me back.

The last time I got carded, you had not been born! 😩

You were great at the Bookends event! A great panel!

@annaleen.bsky.social Enjoyed your panel today at the Bookends festival! Made me very jealous of anyone that writes for Tor.

And here we are walking around in the NC humid heat to show up!

I only got three or four of the answers on that quiz. It was tough!

That is an important document, as is shows that the landslide nature of the eruption was known within a few days. I imagined mostly confusion and contradictory claims while people developed their film.

I would gladly trade a new flash story award for best cat award.

Now renamed Dusty, the kitten settles in. #cats

My question: did the eruption blow away the side of the mountain, or was the eruption the sudden release after the swollen side of the mountain gave way and uncorked the pressure. The pictures suggest the latter.

Trump is fully a lame duck the moment the GOP primaries end. Cruz isn’t running so he may be the beginning of the peak of Trumps influence. Hypocritical but real.

My son and I flew in and around the crater several years back in a helicopter. The idea of being there at the start of a massive landslide and eruption is such a unique and spectacular thing. I wonder if their first reports of what they saw were even believed

That is just amazing.
