Just seeing this this morning for the first time, and it looks like they tried to foul well before the shot, and they still had a foul to give (!) but the ref inexplicably didn't call that and instead called more of a phantom foul on the shot?

Loved the discussion with Corey on calling big moments! Also that Jason Terry senior team did lose a non-con game, it just came in January after conference play started. That New Mexico game that led Lute to swearing off playing the Lobos again after the clock issue on the last possession.

With a follow-up, in that scenario is Arizona still #2 or have they slipped down to #3 in the Top 25 and 1?

In a world where Iowa St. and Arizona are both undefeated for their Mar 2 game (KP says 3.3% chance for ISU and 2.6% for AZ to get there unbeaten), would that be the latest matchup of undefeated teams outside of the NCAA tournament?

Treat him well! It's looking like one of those moves that's working out great for everyone, but I miss seeing him in an Arizona uniform.

Hard yes on mandatory limits on how fast cars can go, hard no on a mass police surveillance state.

Yeah, UConn is finding themselves in a league that might get two bids this year, no surprise they want to play fewer league games and more of a Zags-style non-conference.

I'll take the team with the most wins against other teams in this week's poll. If there's a tie I'll break it by who beat the highest-ranked team.

Agreed, there's so much room for growth from the freshmen, and I was a bit hesitant on Krivas but you can see his confidence growing as he gets his reps. Remains to be seen if the potential will be reached, but the ceiling a fair bit higher than they've shown so far.

I'd push back on having seen Arizona at near-peak yet. Burries I still have faith will come around against top competition, and Krivas is improving by the week. Bradley (and Peat) is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in their big wins so far.

Feels like we're being really generous with either the word "recently" or "ranked" in regards to ASU.

You can get in all your guilty pleasures in these 28 days and never have them show up in Wrapped!

Enjoyed the piece (though I disagree on conference games in early December, if Player's Era is going to have an outsized resume impact I don't have a problem with conference games having one too), but on the Malik Reneau graphic it looks like assist and block averages are where OR% and DR% should be

I hope it works well for the teams, but I hate that it's destroying the existing MTE structure for something that doesn't seem as great for fans. There's no tournament bracket or easily understandable structure, it's just a bunch of random games in what were pretty soulless environments last year.

You will never see a schedule like that '02 Arizona team again. First non-power opponent didn't come until game 10 (and that team was #62 in the retroactive KP ratings).

Also in the MCU recently was the really fun Agatha All Along.

Arizona gives a free Eegee (frozen fruit drink from a local chain of the same name)

Your write-up of Murauskas says he didn't make the list but he's 98th!

This is Jimmermania erasure and we will not stand for it!

You'll have to wait just a bit longer! (His top 101 team rankings)

Maybe another way of phrasing, how many times in the 10k simulations did any team besides those 4 finish at #1?
October 23, 2025 at 5:03 PM
I love seeing these, but I do find it hard to believe that there are only 4 teams with a realistic chance to finish the season at #1. Is there truly that little variability at the top?
