I think we probably get some version of 1/6 (broadly defined to include both the violence and the quasi-legal schemes to subvert the election) any time there is an election republicans lose while they are in power for the foreseeable future

Obviously not the main point here, but it's interesting how this is framed as content rather than policy.

"BREAKING" is typically what journalists or influencers say when they have a big story -- not what government officials say when they launch "undercover" operations

I think the balance of factors tends towards wanting reforms to claim nominal continuity with the prior constitution, but it would be really funny if we replaced the constitution without ever using that mechanism
