Today, the Board of Supervisors got an update on our draft Virginia General Assembly legislative program.

As chair of our Older Adults Committee, I strongly support state legislation to require financial institutions to be trained in scam prevention and report suspected financial exploitation.🚫 💵

I joined @AFSPNCAC for the #OutOfTheDarkness Walk to send a powerful message: you are not alone.

Alongside my fellow Board members, I walked to raise awareness and remind everyone that suicide is preventable — and support is always within reach.

If you think globally, you're so depressed, you can't act!"

Jane Goodall's call to act locally is more urgent than ever.

I was honored to meet this pioneering force for good—and grateful for her support of a task force I launched to help preserve Tysons Forest in Fairfax County. 🌱🌍 #JaneGoodall

At today's Board of Supervisors meeting, I recognized the Vienna Arts Society for earning FFXow's Readers Choice award as best art gallery in Fairfax County. 🎨 🏆

The honor is well deserved since the society has been the home for artists and art lovers in #ViennaVA for the past 50 years.🧑‍🎨

Don't think hunger is problem in wealthy Fairfax County?🍽️

About 1 in 4 households in Fairfax face food insecurity, says the @foodbankmetrodc 2025 Hunger Report released this week. Even 18% of of middle and high-income families in the DMV are struggling to put food on the table.

At today’s @wmata.com Safety & Operations Committee meeting, which I chair, we received an update on the new Better Bus Network.

Thanks to strong outreach efforts, 74% of riders were aware of the changes before launch day — a result any major brand would be proud to achieve! ! 👏🚌 #WMATA

Thanks to NOVA Families for Safe Streets for their Fairfax Near Miss Report, as well as everyone who reported near misses with cars.

It identifies unsafe locations for walkers & bikers and it confirms we need to do more for pedestrian safety, like looking at red-light cameras. #safestreetsforall

📢 With food insecurity rising, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors proclaimed September as #HungerActionMonth.

Now more than ever, we must support the organizations fighting hunger— especially as the federal government has cut $1B in food aid and just ended its annual hunger report. 🍽️

I joined the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in calling out President Trump’s pressure campaign that led U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert to resign. It's an attack on the rule of law, and we ask Congress & judges to stop the president from turning the U.S. Attorney’s office into his personal law firm.
