Hey fedi, did anyone try out
OpenCore Legacy Patcher to put new macOS versions on older macs? A friend has a 2017 MacBookAir and he asked me to swap the SSD for a larger. I noticed that the last OS on this machine (macOS 12) is now unsupported so I was looking into alternative ways of updating it.

I just realized that when I look up info on the Internet for my profession as a software engineer, I now have a new fear: that what I'm reading has been concocted by some AI and has NOT been thoroughly checked by a human. In other words, I'm afraid of AI polluting the web on every level.

Motivators:
Change from C (& C++) to Coldfusion (argh!): change of industry (from desktop to web).
Change from Coldfusion to PHP, then to Java + JS (with alternating predominance), then to Kotlin + TS (same): shift to better languages when they become viable.
Swift: a temporary team switch.
