The family photo is really the journey along the way. It's a major slog and can be a total disaster, but the photo always reminds you of that day and the memory sweetens with time. All AI slop will do is remind you every day that you never were the family in the photo as you get more and more bitter

Look, they are a bad tool for the job but this is simply inaccurate. One of the attention mechanisms used when analyzing data is the surprise factor, this ability fails out naturally from being able to predict how likely a specific piece of data is given what's in the model.

I think there's a lot of unintuitive things about insurance that most people just aren't aware of and it makes discussion difficult. ACA works well because it works very hard to avoid the problem of consumer choice morphing into allowing insurers to choose their customers.
